My passion for the ocean knows no bounds, and becoming a successful marine chemist has not been easy. My goal as an oceanographer has its own obstacles in India, as the profession suggests. For over a year, I worked as a Project Associate at the CSIR-National Institute of Oceanographer, and although it was an ideal workplace, there weren’t enough opportunities or options for me to pick from. I was gradually losing myself and began to regret every choice I had made for a while. I chose to quit my job first and consider my options later because I was unhappy.

After resigning, I encountered a year of considerable hardship, struggling to find genuine happiness. Despite my desperation for employment, I refused to compromise my values merely for financial security. Then, during a visit to my aunt’s home, I tasted one of her exceptional pickles—an experience that ignited my interest in its production process. Upon discovering its absence in the market and its remarkable shelf life without preservatives, an idea for a business began to take shape. Collaborating with my aunt, we embarked on the journey of obtaining licenses, designing logos, and perfecting packaging.

It was during this time that I stumbled upon the world of digital marketing and its myriad opportunities. Recognizing its potential, I enrolled in an online course, where I excelled particularly in content writing, earning the title of the best performer of the week. Despite lacking computer experience, I embraced the challenges of the digital landscape with determination.

Now, as a digital marketer based in Kerala, I offer clients innovative marketing strategies and social media campaigns to ensure their brands shine in the digital realm. Despite facing storms and high tides, my journey through digital marketing has been rewarding, providing me with both balance and stability in this ever-evolving landscape.
